1. Establishing the arboretum and prairie demonstration areas required repeated plantings and waterings. 2. Development of the Demonstration Area was undertaken by the Works Progress Administration. 3. Demonstrators did try to rip down a fence around the demonstration area . 4. The land purchased was designated as a Recreational Demonstration Area ( RDA ). 5. Police in riot gear walked calmly past barricades marking off the demonstration area . 6. Demonstration areas have been set up behind the cabin to emulate Appalachian frontier life.7. In 1997, the Mendocino Woodlands Recreation Demonstration Area was designated as a National Historic Landmark. 8. The Blue Mountain Wildlife Demonstration Area is a bird-dog field training center of international renown. 9. The project occupies of the area, and is called the Pushmataha Forest Habitat Research Demonstration Area . 10. It includes administrative office, four classrooms, a library / community room and a student demonstration area .
