11. The forewings are whitish cinereous ( ash grey ), speckled with brownish fuscous. 12. Adults are ash grey with three or four minute brown spots on the disc. 13. The ground colour of the forewings is ash grey with two black transverse lines. 14. Adults have a sandy yellow ground colour, with white or ash grey suffusion. 15. The interior trim was lightened from the dark Ash Grey to a lighter Picadilly Grey. 16. The hindwings are cinereous ( ash grey ) with brownish-grey shade-spots. 17. The forewings are pale greyish cinereous ( ash grey ), with greyish transverse shading. 18. The forewings are pale fawn brown with whitish cinereous ( ash grey ) lines and streaks. 19. The hindwings are also ash grey . 20. The forewings appear uniform dark grey, but are in fact ash grey with brownish black scales.
