11. A steam fog signal was also installed . which was thereafter replaced by a diaphone . 12. There was also a two-tone diaphone fog horn and living quarters for several families. 13. This arrangement was found unsatisfactory, and a diaphone was added sometime between 1926 and 1931. 17. The original steam whistle fog signal was replaced with diaphone foghorns in the mid-1920s. 18. It originally had a Type F Diaphone signal, and a FA-232 is now in operation. 19. As a matter of interest it is noted the diaphone has never been inoperative since installation in 1926. 20. The fog signal was upgraded to a diaphone in 1919; the following year the beacon was electrified.
