11. The lateral epicondyle below the common extensor tendon. 12. It arises mainly from the medial epicondyle of the humerus via the common flexor tendon. 13. The medial epicondyle protects the ulnar nerve. 14. On either side it gives off a strong supracondylar ridge and epicondyle of the humerus. 15. A fibrous band, Struthers ligament, may connect this process to the medial epicondyle . 16. Just distal and slightly anterior to this tubercle is the bony prominence of the medial epicondyle . 17. The attachment site of the sMCL can be identified slightly proximal and posterior to the epicondyle . 18. The ulnar nerve runs in the groove between the medial humeral epicondyle and the olecranon process of the ulna. 19. The posterior oblique originates at the medial epicondyle and inserts along the mid-portion of the medial semilunar notch. 20. Tennis elbow is the equivalent injury, but at the common extensor origin ( the lateral epicondyle of the humerus ).
