11. It contains a fumarole field, named Gayolesten. 12. At the summit, there are four large craters which contain active fumarole fields. 13. Fumarole Butte formed during the Jaramillo normal event, approximately one million years ago.14. The fumarole on Deception Island also supports moss species found nowhere else in Antarctica. 15. Active fumarole fields are found in two crescentic basins to the north of Bukit Lumut. 16. At Vesuvius it occurs as alterations from gypsum within leucite tephrite and as fumarole deposits. 17. On 1 May 1989, a fumarole activity was observed by a pilot near the summit. 18. Fumarole activity was observed in 1962.19. Binuluan exhibits active volcanism through numerous fumarole fields, solfataras and hot springs on its slope. 20. It is also the site of Fumarole Butte,, about east of the Drum Mountains.
