11. Choroid plexus papilloma occurs in the lateral ventricles of children and in the fourth ventricle of adults. 12. It follows up along this boundary, continuous with the inferior of the body of the lateral ventricles . 13. Other uncommon locations are the lateral ventricle , foramen magnum, and the orbit / optic nerve sheath. 14. CT will usually show distortion of third and lateral ventricles with displacement of anterior and middle cerebral arteries. 15. As the forebrain develops, the neural cord within it becomes a ventricle, ultimately forming the lateral ventricles . 16. The lateral ventricles are formed as large cavities of the Foramen of Magendie, which decompresses the ventricular cavities. 17. In normal pressure hydrocephalus, expansion of the lateral ventricles causes distortion of the fibers of the corona radiata. 18. The lateral ventricles were increased in size, and the corpus callosum and the periventricular white matter were diminished. 19. Axial MR / CT show a triangular-shaped cerebrospinal fluid ( CSF ) space between the lateral ventricles . 20. In HDLS, there is enlargement of the lateral ventricles and marked thinning or weakening of cerebral white matter.
