11. Commonly known as the "'marsh honey fungus "', it prefers growing in sphagnum bogs with mosses. 12. The larvae feed on these sphagnum bog mosses. 13. Poison sumac grows in the sphagnum bog . 14. These include very wet locations with widely differing pH values such as in fens and sphagnum bogs . 15. The reserve is a significant example of a sphagnum bog and also supports a wide range of lichens. 16. Wild service trees and elders are found in the shrub layer, and a pond has a raised sphagnum bog . 17. Common species include snow grasses, leafy bossiaea, yellow kunzea, alpine pepper and sphagnum bogs , with candle heath and swamp heath. 18. The land is thus largely uninhabited moorland plateaux where almost any depression is filled with sphagnum bogs and black peat. 19. Its natural habitats are sphagnum bogs in p�ramo ecosystems as well as upper montane forests at elevations of above sea level. 20. This plant grows at high latitudes and high elevations, in cold, wet habitat types such as sphagnum bogs and tundra overlying permafrost.
