11. The creek is a ria, a tidal inlet on the north side of Restronguet Creek. 12. The bridge crosses Tudor Creek ( a tidal inlet ) to the north-east of the island. 13. Other tidal inlets include firths, voes and bays. 14. Two tidal inlets lie on the Pacific coast of the peninsula, Hoopers Inlet and Papanui Inlet. 15. This beach is used for surf fishing, especially in the tidal inlet channel at the southern end. 16. This sandy, tidal inlet is a popular fishing spot and a popular area for windsurfing and kitesurfing. 17. They are less frequently formed in mesotidal coasts, where they are typically short with tidal inlets common. 18. It is partially bordered by tidal inlets to the bay, notably Nabbs Creek to the east and south. 19. Much of the coastal marine area comprises sensitive tidal inlets and estuaries and semi-enclosed Waitemata, Manukau and Kaipara Harbours. 20. Many species of seabirds and waders in particular may be found around the tidal inlets , including spoonbills, plovers, and herons.
