21. The sacrum has three different surfaces which are shaped to accommodate surrounding pelvic structures. 22. The present type material consists of a sacrum and some of the left metatarsals. 23. The deep interosseous ligaments resist the load of the sacrum relative to the ilium. 24. The sacrum connects the pelvis and hindlimbs and is useful for motion on land. 25.
