21. Around the summit of the church is a battlemented parapet with crocketted pinnacles and a string course . 22. On the main facades, there is a decorative string course above the first floor verandah roof. 23. Pilasters are located at the corners, separated by a protruding string course at first floor level. 24. A contrasting marble string course with triglyphs and five pointed stars projected around the stairwell at the landing. 25. The upper five floors rest on a two-story piano nobile crested by an ornamental string course . 26. There is a terra-cotta string course with four crests between the floors on the east side. 27. The underside of the upper string course carries a row of fine dentils and an inscribed Greek pattern. 28. Pointed arch windows flank the portal and feature hood mouldings, which are integrated with a string course . 29. Above these openings are high level semi-circular windows which sit on a string course lining the room. 30. There is a string course beneath the windows which feature an elaborate pattern of glazing bars and coloured glass.
