21. The mill was a wooden postmill, weatherboarded , on a brick roundhouse, with four single patent sails. 22. It was weatherboarded externally, probably in the 18th century when a large barn was added to the east. 23. It is a four storey drainage mill with a tapering red brick tower and a boat shaped weatherboarded cap. 24. The church is a plain, weatherboarded building with details that appear to be Greek Revival style temple form building. 25. The barn and sheds were timber-framed, had weatherboarded walls and thatched roofs and had been converted into offices. 26. The body ( called head on a spinnenkop ) is weatherboarded while the substructure is thatched and rests on a brick base. 27. The frame is made of wood, with four braced cant posts standing on brick piers supporting a weatherboarded cap and fantail. 28. West Acre mill was a four-storey building, with a brick-built ground floor and the upper storeys built in weatherboarded timber. 29. Other notable buildings in the village include Harpsden Court which existed by 1540, and a weatherboarded barn near the church bearing the date 1689. 30. Rose Cottage and Ivy Cottage are small 18th century Grade II listed timber-framed and plastered cottages in Dunton Road, weatherboarded on the front.
