Each summer month, about 100 waterspouts roam the shallow waters around southern Florida. 34. Approximately 100 waterspouts are observed each summer near the southern Florida and Georgia coasts. 35. Isolated waterspouts may accompany thunderstorms over coastal waters. 36. Other waterspouts and funnel clouds are possible over the waters in the warning area. 37. If a waterspout is sighted . . . Do not try to outrace it. 38. Additional waterspouts are possible through the afternoon in and close to the warning area. 39. If a waterspout is sighted . . . Steer perpendicular and away from it. 40. Small craft operating in the area should exercise caution as additional waterspouts are possible.
