41. In July 2009 the United Nations Economic and Social Council ( ECOSOC ) granted special consultative status to the GVN Foundation. 42. On this occasion the founder Srinivasa Alluri was invited to speak in the 2013 ECOSOC high-level segment in Geneva. 43. As Vice President of ECOSOC , Sharma was responsible for the Coordination Segment, and he performed his responsibility very successfully. 44. The General Union ( Osaka ) has official consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council ( ECOSOC ). 45. The Fund received Roster Consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nation ( ECOSOC ) in 2002. 46. Once registered with DESA, CSOs can also apply for consultative status with the Economic and Social Council ( ECOSOC ). 47. The Committee is an NGO with Special Consultative Status, the United Nations Economic and Social Council ( UN ECOSOC ). 48. Non-governmental organizations may be granted consultative status with ECOSOC and other agencies to participate in the UN's work. 49. This mandate has been subsequently broadened by numerous resolutions of the General Assembly and its Economic and Social Council ( ECOSOC ). 50. WOSM is a non-governmental organization with General Consultative Status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council ( ECOSOC ).
