41. The saloon and public bars are divided by a wooden, arched screen containing glass engraved with Art Nouveau motifs. 42. The hallway retains its rear doors and a richly detailed set of double doors leading to the public bar . 43. The box office was moved to the new foyer which contains a large public bar and a small bistro. 44. It was later agreed that the Liberal Party would not be mentioned on advertisements in public Bar Association publications. 45. The principal entrance is at the street corner and opens onto a large public bar through bat wing doors. 46. The public bar attracted local workers and had a dart board whilst the lounge attracted the local gay community. 47. Northwest of the public bar , two low timber doors open from carpark level into the concrete and brick basement cellar. 48. The public bar was enlarged in 1966, by incorporating the parlour bar at the far end from the street entrance. 49. Windows within the extension of the public bar ( incorporating verandah space ) on the western side are aluminium framed. 50. Leading from the hallway to the right is another smaller hall which leads to the public bar and two minor rooms.
