41. Cheshire then proceeded to accurately mark the target ( a V-1 storage depot ) for the heavies which landed three Tallboys on it. 42. On 13 April, 34 Tallboy bomb hit . " Prinz Eugen " then departed Swinem�nde for Copenhagen, arriving on 20 April. 43. They were replaced with British Type G single-point attachments and Type F releases as used on the Lancaster to carry the Tallboy bomb. 44. The SABS briefly saw use with the Tallboy bomb as a precision weapon, and required the higher accuracy of the SABS for this mission. 45. Work on repairing the damaged Lancasters also continued on 14 September, and an additional Tallboy -armed aircraft was ready by the next morning. 46. Wimsey, after looking out of the window, has an alternative : Tallboy must go home, on foot, and never look behind him. 47. Three days later an Allied raid succeeded in wrecking the interior of the Watten bunker with a Tallboy bomb that brought down part of the roof. 48. All the other Force A aircraft aimed their Tallboys at the anti-aircraft gunfire rising from the ship; 17 of the weapons were dropped. 49. The site was finally put out of commission on 6 July 1944, when bombers of RAF Bomber Command's Tallboy " deep-penetration bombs. 50. Tallboys were not considered expendable, and if not used on a raid were to be brought back to base rather than safely jettisoned into the sea.
