41. The 19th century Chapel was created in a vaulted undercroft that may date from the original abbey buildings. 42. It is now a ruined keep tower with two storeys, an undercroft and a first floor hall. 43. Work starts at a Norton Priory undercroft , as part of a ?.7 million restoration project. 44. Built as an open undercroft , the ground floor is now partly enclosed providing workshop and storage space. 45. The original toilets are located at the eastern end of the undercroft area but are no longer used. 46. Toilets, constructed of besser block, are located in the central western side of the undercroft area. 47. The undercroft beneath the Houses of Parliament in London was rented out to the conspirators behind the Gunpowder Plot. 48. The undercroft , used for storage, was divided into two chambers, and its decoration was much plainer. 49. Design features include verandah access, an emphasis on natural lighting and ventilation in design, and undercroft playspaces. 50. The tuckshop, girls and boys toilets and maintenance storage areas are located in the undercroft of the building.
