1. The thalamus and superior colliculus are connected via lateral geniculate nucleus. 2. Reflexive movements are commanded by the superior colliculus of the midbrain. 3. Sound location data thus becomes fully integrated by the inferior colliculus . 4. The inferior colliculus has a relatively high metabolism in the brain. 5. The superior colliculus / optic tectum forms a major component of the midbrain. 6. Fibers leaving these brainstem nuclei ascending to the inferior colliculus rejoin the lateral lemniscus. 7. This is possibly so with the superior colliculus . 8. Others send axons to the superior colliculus . 9. They pass through the prostate, and open into the urethra at the seminal colliculus . 10. Location of visual, auditory and somatosensory perception in the superior colliculus of the brain.
