When the worm reaches the liver the larva transforms into a cysticercus form. 4. In pigs cysticercus has a tendency to produce cyticercosis. 5. In pigs, the cysticercus can produce cysticercosis. 6. The cysticercus is often called the metacestode. 7. Like other East and Southeast Asia which are contaminated with the infective larva called cysticercus . 8. Once ingested the cysticercus finds its way into the intestine and attaches to the intestinal wall with hooks and suckers. 9.
