1. It is a light greenish colored and fruticose or bushy bodied. 2. Foliose lichens may sometimes branch and appear to be fruticose . 3. Fruticose lichens may have flattened branching parts and appear leafy.4. Fruticose lichens have one cortex layer wrapping around the " branches ".5. All members of the genus have a fruticose growth form. 6. It was the dominant fruticose lichen on red lava. 7. In fruticose lichens, the photobiontic layer is sharply distinct from the layer below. 8. Represented by frutcuilose, fruticose and herbaceous perennial forms, or less often annual ones. 9. This fruticose species forms hair-like hanging clusters that are orange to red in color. 10. Unattached specimens ( maerl, rhodoliths ) may form relatively smooth compact balls to warty or fruticose thalli.
