1. The barrel was changed easily, but the gas ports had to be enlarged considerably. 2. Their gas ports or operating system are also welded closed. 3. Grease blobs and spider webs can clog the small gas ports in the burner tubes. 4. The size of the gas port increases resulting in greater energy being delivered to the action. 5. The gas port is opened from 0.062 to 0.070 in ( 1.6 to 1.8 mm ). 6. The chief complaint of the rifle was that the gas ports quickly fouled when using lead ammunition. 7. This sleeve opened a series of gas ports which bled off exhaust gases and so determined the range. 8. The gas system is fed from an adjustable gas port 11 inches from the rear of the barrel. 9. The weak point of this rifle was the size of the gas port located under the front end of the barrel. 10.
