1. Strontium at levels of 0.01 % refines grain structure of aluminium. 2. When the steel is heated again, the tiny grain structures merge. 3. Finally, lower temperatures can be used, which improves the grain structure . 4. The resulting grain structure is circumferential, which gives better mechanical properties. 5. Grain structure is uniform, however at times it can be interlocked.6. The times required depend on the grain structure of the alloy. 7. Vegetable ivory is naturally white with a fine marbled grain structure . 8. Recently high-temperature superplastic behaviour has also been observed in iron aluminides with coarse grain structures . 9. Metals with fine grain structure before melting provide superior wetting to metals with large grains. 10. A coarse grain structure impregnated with oil, however, may be the most desirable for wear resistance.
