1. They lie where they fell, some cracked, some crumbled : Dutch's lateral moraine . 2. Choquelimpie was glaciated during the Pleistocene glaciations, with lateral moraines and cirques well preserved. 3. A glacier carved out a deep valley leaving a lateral moraine where it stopped. 4. These glaciers transport sediment and leave behind lateral moraines . 5. Lateral moraines are present all along the body of the glacier up to the accumulation zone.6. Medial moraines are formed when the lateral moraines of two glaciers are combined when they flow together. 7. The lateral moraines comprise that eroded material which is carried along at the sides of a glacier. 8. Boulder Ridge consists of scenic heather-covered benches and a number of lateral moraines left by vanished glaciers. 9. Campsites along the Biafo are located off of the glacier, adjacent to the lateral moraines and steep mountainsides. 10. The glacier has created two very clear lateral moraines , the left being Metcaife Moraine and the right Railroad Grade.
