1. Upon closure at birth, it becomes the ligamentum arteriosum. 2. After birth, the ductus arteriosus regresses to form the ligamentum arteriosum. 3. On the other, inferior end, the ligamentum is attached to the top of the left pulmonary artery. 4. The tibial tuberosity is located on the tibia's anterior surface, ligamentum patellae, or patellar ligament. 5. The ligamentum arteriosum connects to the junction between the arch of aorta and the descending aorta in foetal life. 6. The ligamentum arteriosum is closely related to the left recurrent laryngeal nerve, a branch of the left vagus nerve. 7. The ligamentum teres hepatis turns around the inferior marging of the liver to come out ventral in the falciform ligament. 8. It is often joined by the ligamentum arteriosum ( or patent ductus arteriosus ) where it forms the descending aorta. 9. The ligamentum is divided and two vascular clamps are placed on the junction of the left arch with the descending aorta. 10.
