1. "Macropus antilopinus " is the exception among wallaroos. 2. The mainland form, " Macropus rufogriseus banksianus ", breeds all year round. 3. "M . macropus " has dark-grey to reddish brown fur covering its venter. 4. The common wallaroo ( " Macropus robustus " or wallaroo ) is the best-known species. 5. There are eight species of bat including the vulnerable large footed myotis ( " Myotis macropus " ). 6. No broader bat surveys have targeted " M . macropus " by concentrating surveying efforts on inland water bodies. 7. The black wallaroo ( " Macropus bernardus " ) occupies an area of steep, rocky ground in Arnhem Land. 8. A decline in water quality and increased urbanisation have been linked to " M . macropus " exclusion from aquatic habitats. 9. Small numbers of western grey kangaroo ( " Macropus fuliginosus " ) shelter in the park during the day and feed in neighbouring pastures. 10. It is the nominate subspecies of " Dendrobium macropus ", which occurs in eastern Australia as well as in Fiji and New Caledonia.
