1. Geologically, Nethermost Pike belongs to the Borrowdale Volcanic Group. 2. Between Ruthwaite and Nethermost Coves, Nethermost Pike sends out a fine rocky ridge. 3. Between Ruthwaite and Nethermost Coves, Nethermost Pike sends out a fine rocky ridge. 4. The summit suffers erosion from the large number of walkers who climb Nethermost Pike. 5. Because of its close proximity to the higher Helvellyn, Nethermost Pike receives fewer visitors. 6. Doesn't the sweetness of that nethermost line just make you pine to stand up and sing? 7. The actual top is toward the northern corner and set back a little from the drop to Nethermost Cove. 8. Nethermost Cove also has some routes, including a large gully between Striding Edge and the back of the cove.9. To the west the ground slopes gradually away from the summit, merging with the western slope of Nethermost Pike. 10. Like most fells in the Helvellyn range, Nethermost Pike has grassy western slopes and rocky outcrops on the eastern side.
