1. The monoamine neurotransmitters norepinephrine , serotonin and histamine are completely unavailable. 2. SNRIs are potent inhibitors of the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine . 3. Stretch receptors cause postganglionic neurons to release norepinephrine ( NE ). 4. Under physiologic conditions, however, nitric oxide attenuates norepinephrine vasoconstriction. 5. Once in the synapse, norepinephrine binds to and activates receptors. 6. It acts primarily as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor similarly to desipramine. 7. The other hormones measured were norepinephrine , ACTH and cortisol. 8. This in turn leads to increased extracellular concentrations of norepinephrine . 9. Methylphenidate binds to and blocks dopamine transporters and norepinephrine transporters. 10. The neurotransmitter norepinephrine regulates many physiological processes in the body and brain.
