1. The bulk of this island consists of a Jurassic granite pluton . 2. Around the plutons of the batholith, the older rocks recrystallized. 3. The Stellenbosch pluton extends under the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland mountains. 4. Gabbro is also found as plutons associated with continental volcanism. 5. These basalts were intruded by a tonalite pluton shortly after their eruption. 6. Stone Mountain pluton continues underground at its longest point into Gwinnett County. 7. Similar intrusions can be found in the Rader Creek Pluton . 8. Anorthosites form in plutons and are composed mostly of plagioclase. 9. This late Cretaceous pluton is localized south of Bazman volcano. 10. These other plutons are derived from fractionally crystallized mantle melts.
