1. The leaves and young stems are covered in sparse, stellate hairs . 2. There are stellate hairs on both sides of the leaf. 3. Most parts of the plant are virtually stellate hairs . 4. The leaves have stellate hairs on the surface and simple hairs at the margins. 5. There are also stellate hairs on the underside of the leaf that grow in clumps. 6. The stem and leaves of " N . jacquelineae " are stellate hairs . 7. The species is "'capsule covered in gray tomentose and softly spiny stellate hairs . 8. The stems are reddish, partly decorated with stellate hairs or scales, reddish-starred with about 15 rays. 9. These subspecies vary in size, shape, number of main lateral veins in the leaves and quantity and color of stellate hairs . 10. The plant grows to 1.5 metres tall, and is almost hairless, apart from tiny stellate hairs on the branches.
