1. In Buckinghamshire children sit tests in Verbal Reasoning , Mathematics and Non-Verbal reasoning. 2. The examination tests a student's ability to solve problems using verbal reasoning and mathematics. 5. The Verbal Reasoning section follows the Physical Sciences section and an optional 10-minute break. 6. In Essex, where the examination is optional, children sit Verbal Reasoning , Mathematics and English. 7. This comprises an English paper and three tests : verbal reasoning , non-verbal reasoning and mathematics. 8. They study various measures of problem solving, as well as numerical and verbal reasoning abilities. 9. This comprises an English paper and three tests : verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning and mathematics. 10. After Verbal Reasoning , there is an optional 10-minute break followed by the Biological Sciences section.
