1. Wild elephants are common in sambar and chital roam about the forests. 2. The Chital deer are widely seen in southwestern woodlands. 3. Compared to the hog deer, the chital has a more cursorial build. 4. The chital has been observed foraging with sambar deer in the Western Ghats. 5. Common myna are often attracted to the chital . 6. Chital , barking deer, and panther are mainly found in this marshy area.7. A moderate-sized deer, male chital reach nearly and females at the shoulder. 8. Chital , sambar, nilgai and wild pigs are found all over the Tiger Reserve.9. Chital have well-developed preorbital glands ( near the eyes ) which have stiff hairs.10. The chital is found in large numbers in dense deciduous or semievergreen forests and open grasslands.
