1. Conglomeratic units may represent alluvial fan and braided river deposits.2. The Sycamore Canyon Member contains lenses of conglomerate, conglomeratic sandstone, and sandstone. 3. Asymmetrically deformed quartz pebbles in conglomeratic layers of the Thiviers sandstone indicate dextral shearing. 4. In places the sandstone may be conglomeratic or ferruginous ( rich in iron oxides ). 5. The lower Oligocene is conglomeratic and pro-grades southward into evaporite and lacustrine deposits. 6. Reworked conglomeratic chalks in the western section represent marginal facies derived from this structural uplift. 7. The overlying Southerndown Beds are blue / grey conglomeratic limestones and limy sandstones with thin shale partings. 8. It consists of Red and green shale, siltstone, and sandstone, with thin conglomeratic sandstone. 9. The raw material used for these anchors are hard basaltic, sedimentary and a few of conglomeratic material. 10. It consists of white and yellow / brown chalk that is often glauconitic and sometimes conglomeratic or marly.
