1. Flysch consists of repeated sedimentary cycles with upwards shale / mudstone.2. Well-known flysch deposits are found in the lithostratigraphic unit. 3. Underground aquifers surface from exploits in the ultra basic flysch rocks. 4. The Persani Mountains consists mainly of basalt, shale and flysch . 5. Eugeosynclines often contain flysch typical of a continental-continental convergent boundary. 6. At Taftan, the Nehbandan-Khash flysch borders the Makran zone. 7. Moldavide Flysch was deformed since Burdigalian, especially in Sarmatian and Badenian. 8. This continued till the Eocene, when flysch was deposited. 9. The basement of the volcano is formed by flysch of Cretaceous age. 10. Further north the Flysch Mountains again form small chains.
