1. This lavabo takes place quietly, outside of the view of the congregation. 2. It was the second single from his album " Le Lavabo ". 3. The lavabo is a reconstruction, based on a fragment of the original central basin. 4. The lavabo is opposite the refectory so that the monks could cleanse their hands before meals. 5. There is a small, well-preserved lavabo on the southern wall of the nave. 6. The lavabo has a convex base and faucett, and is decorated with florians and surmounted by pinnacles. 7. On the south side of the cloister is an open octagonal structure containing a lavabo fed by a spring. 8. Above this was a main room with fireplace, deep windows with seats, and a carved lavabo or piscina. 9. Under one of the arches on the north side there are two Roman sarcophagi that the canons once used as lavabos . 10. By degrees the lavabo became portable, and a basin frame is mentioned as early as the middle of the 17th century.
