1. It is heteroxenous with merogony and gamogony in the vertebrate host. 2. The coccidian lifecycle involves merogony , gametogony, and sporogony. 3. Merogony may be intracellular or extracellular depending on the species.4. Merogony , gamogony and oocyst formation all occur within the same host.5. The parasites invade the enterocytes, undergo merogony and gametogony. 6. Merogony , sporogony and gametogony occur in the same host.7. The parasites reproduce by merogony without oocysts or spores. 8. They have erythrocytic gamogony, both erythrocytic and extra-erythrocytic merogony and cystogony. 9.
