1. During the Cretaceous and Tertiary periods, many shells became coarsely plicate . 2. This genus and species is distinguished by its plicate ( pleated ) upper lip. 3. The Plicate rocksnail has disappeared from more than 90 percent of its historic range. 4. The light-brown shell is longitudinally plicate . 5. Like all acochlidians, it lacks plicate gills. 6. Stretching is corrected by plicating sutures to the point that all cusps have normal configuration. 7. On each stems grows one large, thin, plicate leaf with a sharply defined midrib. 8. They grow long, plicate leaves. 9. The uterus is thrown into numerous sacculations, and its interior walls are richly convolutely plicated . 10. The intestinal tube is rather short, of equal diameter throughout, and internally plicated longitudinally.
