1. Twoleaf nightshades are ruderal species, colonizing newly disturbed lands. 2. It is a ruderal species, usually found in waste places or disturbed habitats. 3. Very often they grow in dry, saline or disturbed ( ruderal ) sites. 4. These occur in a variety of weedy and ruderal species native to steppes and deserts. 5. Some of the species also invade ruderal sites or occur as weeds in cultivated fields. 6. Nowadays it is quite common in roadsides and ruderal habitats, even in urban areas. 7. Some of them are ruderal species. 8. The speed of erosion along the glacial till cliffs prohibits colonisation of anything but sparse ruderal vegetation. 9. It colonizes ruderal sites along transport routes and can become dominant in habitats disturbed by human activity. 10. From context, it seems much more likely to be a ruderal species of some annual plant.
