Near Brevik and R�jda there are diabases dykes hosting numerous rounded clasts of red Jotnian sandstone including both quartz arenite and arkose . 16. The Dawson Arkose contains plant remains and other nonmarine fossils, and hosts aquifers that are important sources of water for the area. 17.
