21. Two tailrace tunnels connect the sound with the lake deep under the mountains north of the pass. 22. The tailrace outlet is located in the Babai River upstream of the existing Babai irrigation project diversion weir. 23. Power came from another water wheel, constructed underground, and fed by the tailrace of the first wheel. 24. Water discharged from the power station travels down a long tailrace tunnel before reaching the Tana at Gitaru Reservoir. 25.
