1. Within the Zazhoginskoe field are carbonate, sericite , albite and quartz. 2. Fresh mineral alteration has occurred as sericite , serpentine, and chlorite are found. 3. Millimetre-sized shear bands within the Gnis sericite schist also point at dextral shearing. 4. Minerals produced by alteration include calcite, chlorite, epidote, kaolinite, rutile and sericite . 5. The selvages are generally < 10 cm in diameter and composed of major sericite and minor quartz. 6. Beginning in 1951, the deposit was mined for associated sericite , which was used as a white filler. 7. These rocks are regarded as metamorphosed sediments containing a laminate of graphite, mica quartz-sericite and sericite schists. 8. These rocks are regarded as metamorphosed sediments containing a laminate of graphite, mica quartz-sericite and sericite schists. 9. Alteration is nonexistent to very weak at best and the weak chlorite and sericite are believed to be mainly post-ore effects. 10. Plagioclase will be altered to sericite ( a fine-grained white mica ) by sericitic alteration, and mafic minerals are replaced by quartz.
