1. Ankerite occurs with siderite in metamorphosed ironstones and sedimentary banded iron formations. 2. Associated minerals include sphalerite, cassiterite, siderite and briartite. 3. Many gem-quality ammonites are found within siderite concretions. 4. It is commonly found with goethite, siderite and vivianite. 5. Ores such as siderite , limonite and haematite occur too. 6. The minerals Hematite and Siderite are found at Margaret Creek. 7. The quartz veins are rich in goethite, often pseudomorph after siderite . 8. Rhodochrosite forms a complete solid solution series with iron carbonate ( siderite ). 9. Siderite is commonly found in isotopic composition of meteoric water shortly after deposition.10. The main iron ores are from the carbonate siderite is also typically mined.
