The Chugwater consists mainly of siltstone and shales with interspersed sandstones. 4. To the north, it grades into the siltstone Borden Formation. 5. Layers of shungite rocks interspersed with tuffs, dolomite and siltstone . 6. The outer wall is thick in places and constructed from Siltstone ashlar. 7. Internal layers of mudstone, conglomerate and siltstone interrupt the limestone horizontally. 8. Sediments are a mixture of fluvial conglomerates, sandstones, and siltstones . 9.
