1. He played with sitarist Ravi Shankar and with jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli. 2. He is considered a leading Sitarist of Post War era. 3. Qatsi " comes directly from his studies with Indian sitarist Ravi Shankar. 4. He has also performed jugalbandis, along with sitarist Shahid Parvez and others. 5. He also studied with the sitarist , vocalist and composer, Prof D T Joshi. 6. The Music Foundation was established by Pandit Bhattacharya's sitarist pupil Arup Ratan Mukherjee. 7. He soon began studies with the master sitarist Ravi Shankar, who became a close friend. 8. Becoming a competent Sitarist in no time, Ramesh Narayan found himself captivated by Hindustani vocal. 9. An Arts Council grant back in 2004 paid for training workshops with renowned sitarist Baluji Shrivastav. 10. His father, the late Ustad Abdul Karim Khan was a distinguished sitarist at his time.
