It occurs as an alteration product of triphylite in pegmatites. 4. It is occurs in pegmatitess as an alteration of beryl and triphylite . 5. It occurs with triplite, lithiophilite, triphylite , eosphorite, dickinsonite and rhodochrosite. 6. It occurs in pegmatites often associated with triphylite , the iron end member in a solid solution series. 7. While a natural lithium iron phosphate mineral exists ( triphylite ) issues with purity and structure make it unsuitable for use in batteries. 8. Associated minerals include souzalite, triphylite , wyllieite, trolleite, apatite, lacroixite, berlinite, tourmaline, muscovite, feldspar and quartz. 9. "' Triphylite "'is a lithium iron ( II ) phosphate mineral with the chemical formula LiFe 2 + PO 4. 10. It is a member of the triphylite group, and forms a complete solid solution series with the lithium manganese ( II ) phosphate, lithiophilite.
